Clinical Director, Registered Psychologist
Welcome! If you are reading this page, you may be exploring therapists to find one that resonates for you - give yourself the recognition of navigating a new journey, with what may be the objective of building more peace in your life.
A sense of peace in one’s life is something I believe is cultivated from within, not found outside. Even in difficult environments or during life's most difficult seasons, each of us has the capacity to reconnect with our inner strength, find grounding amidst uncertainty, and create meaningful change.
My goal is to support individuals in developing an empowered sense of peace through self-discovery, healing, and transformation. I strive to provide a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. Together, we can explore the challenges that may be keeping you stuck, deepen your understanding of yourself, and build the tools needed to navigate life with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion.
I integrate approaches that focus on self-acceptance, one’s own strengths, solutions, and cognitive-emotional strategies through a culturally-responsive and socially just lens. Whether you are managing daily stress, healing from past traumas, navigating life transitions or relationships, or seeking a deeper connection with yourself, I am honoured to get to meet you where you are and walk alongside you on your journey.
I am a registered psychologist in good standing with the Psychologists Association of Alberta. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta and graduated from my Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have a background in social-work, working in Indigenous-based organizations with high-risk populations. I am grateful for all I have learned in these chapters and how it has shaped my approach to help others.
Adam Klassen
Managing Director
Hello and welcome to Pivotal Psychology! Even though I completed my BComm degree in Finance at the University of Alberta, I’m very excited to have co-founded this psychology practice. As the business end of this operation, I make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. If you see me around the office, don't be shy… say hello! I'll be sure to give you a warm hello back.
My true passion is helping people find their way through therapy toward genuine self-acceptance. I've walked that road myself. Starting my own therapy journey transformed how I think, and how I choose to see myself and others. It's helped me so much that Tara and I decided to build something around it, and Pivotal Psychology was born.
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy the way I have, and it's my mission to help as many people as possible find that same sense of peace. While I work behind the scenes rather than in the therapy room, my dedication is to making sure Pivotal Psychology feels warm, welcoming, and safe - a place where you can do the rewarding work of defining your own peace. We're just getting started, and there are exciting things ahead as we continue to grow and evolve to better serve you and our community.
